New Fulton Band
Jeff Yaeger, Director
Having discovered a book of music by James Fulton, I thought it would be nice to record them so people across the world could hear them. I then found out that none of the songs in my book have been recorded. Of the few Fulton recordings out there, they are all marches. My collection has (in addition to unheard marches) Waltzes, Mazurkas, Polkas, Gavottes, and even an Overture.
I put together a band I call the New Fulton Band. This band was organized with the sole purpose of recording "Fulton's American Band Book." and that's what we did. I would like to point out that these recordings were sight-read with no rehearsal. We recorded 25 songs in 3 hours. The idea is to give the listener an "idea" of what these songs sound like. While some may a little "shaky," the listener will enjoy hearing something that hasn't been heard for many decades.
